"TheBridgeGlobal and TEST Angola Expand Young Talent Training Cabinda, March 25, 2025 – TheBridgeGlobal and TEST Angola strengthen their partnership with a new cycle of the CRIAR Program, training 10 recent graduates over 12 months of intensive learning. The training, held at TEST Angola, includes technical English, practical electricity skills, and a 40-hour-per-week behavioral module. The CRIAR Program has been essential for youth employability, connecting talents to business needs. TEST Angola, a reference in automation, reaffirms its commitment to professional qualification and the development of LOCAL CONTENT. “SMASHED” reaches the milestone of 100,000 students made aware of alcohol consumption prevention. Implemented in 2022, the social intervention project SMASHED has already raised awareness among more than 100,000 students in approximately 287 schools and colleges, reinforcing its commitment to youth education and awareness. The SMASHED Project, a global citizenship education initiative aimed at preventing alcohol consumption among young people aged 10 to 17, continues to expand its impact in Angola. In the most recent phase of the project, the initiative aimed to reach nearly 45,000 students between October 2024 and March 2025. However, it only reached 34,039 young people, demonstrating the ongoing effort to raise awareness about the dangers of early alcohol consumption. In this phase, 113 schools and colleges participated in the initiative, including 92 public institutions and 21 private ones. The municipalities of Cazenga and Viana stood out as the main focus areas of the program, reinforcing the impact strategy in these communities. One of the most significant milestones was achieving the goal of raising awareness among 4,000 students in private schools, a target that was surpassed with 4,024 young people reached in 21 private colleges. The SMASHED Project is an initiative by Collingwood Learning Solutions Ltd, globally supported by DIAGEO since 2005 and implemented in Angola by TheBridgeGlobal, in close partnership with the Luanda Provincial Government’s Education Office. With a history of continuous growth and positive impact, the project reinforces its commitment to expanding education and awareness about the risks of alcohol consumption, ensuring that an increasing number of young people have access to this essential information for their future.

The Digital Citizen Project, developed by EMIS, has raised awareness among over 700,000 citizens in Luanda, Benguela, and Huambo since September 2022. The goal is to educate about digital payment security and prevent financial fraud.

Impact as of November 2024:

  • 166,675 people attended audiovisual presentations.
  • 535,515 citizens were engaged in street and commercial awareness campaigns.

Project Phases:

  1. 1st phase (Luanda): Over 200,000 reached.
  2. 2nd phase (Oct/2023): 210,000 in Luanda and 60,000 in Benguela.
  3. 3rd phase (Oct/2024): 60,000 in Huambo.

EMIS manages the MULTICAIXA Network and other essential financial systems, reinforcing security in Angola's banking sector.

Today, the 26th, Diageo held a theatrical awareness session against underage alcohol consumption at School 5037, located in Luanda-Sul, Viana Municipality.

The session is part of the SMASHED social project, which uses theatrical performances as a tool to raise awareness about responsible alcohol consumption and promote mental health among teenagers. The event brought together over 800 students from the public school Comandante Loy in Luanda-Sul.

According to Diageo's Sustainability Manager, Christianah Ogumyoola, Angola (Luanda) stands out positively in school awareness campaigns among the 30 countries participating in the SMASHED project.

Christianah stated that the projects in other countries are similar to Luanda’s but implemented by TheBridgeGlobal. When asked which country stands out the most in project implementation, she did not provide comparative data but acknowledged that Angola is doing very productive work.

The AEB - Benguela Business Alliance welcomed Hélder Fernando, Coordinator of the Digital Citizen Project, to present the initiative and its impact in 10 municipalities. During the meeting, he requested AEB’s institutional support to expand the project among its members and employees.

Topics discussed included participant numbers, strategies to reach people with low financial literacy, and results achieved. AEB’s Secretary-General, Douctor Ekumbi David, committed to supporting the project and suggested creating a video for dissemination among members.

The meeting lasted an hour and concluded with photographic records.

OFFICERS OF THE TALATONA MUNICIPAL COMMAND TRAINED IN DIGITAL LITERACY

The Talatona Municipal Command of the National Police held an important training session on January 14 as part of the Digital Citizen project. The initiative, part of an awareness and training campaign, brought together 21 participants, including police officers and civil society members. The event aimed to deepen knowledge on digital citizenship and the benefits of new technologies in accessing public services.

The session was opened by Superintendent Jorge Cabral, who emphasized the project's importance in strengthening digital interaction between citizens and public institutions. He highlighted how the initiative contributes to greater digital inclusion, essential for building a more connected and modern society.

Inspector Laurindo Sachova played a key role in leading the training, emphasizing the positive impact of digital integration for the population. "Training citizens is a fundamental step to ensure everyone can efficiently and inclusively access public services," he stated.

The Digital Citizen project aims to prepare the population for the proper use of new technologies, improving public administration and access to services more quickly and securely.
